Modeler
Mark works as a modeler on the FIRIS program. Prior to joining SDSC, Mark had a career in firefighting, with operational expertise in wildfire management and emergency response. In addition to his modeling role for FIRIS, Mark serves as a Situation Unit Leader on a federal incident management team, where he improves situational awareness and contributes to a common operating picture for complex wildfire incidents. Mark has a BS in Biopsychology from UC Santa Barbara.
