Alex Tuna
Computational Data Science Researcher

Alexander is a Computational Data Scientist. He works on the Sage project, which a distributed network of smart sensors – such as high-resolution cameras and weather sensors – that collect data for machine learning algorithms running on edge computing. Prior to joining SDSC, he was a particle physicist at CERN and Harvard University. He helped build a new particle detector, which included custom electronics and software doing real-time pattern recognition on terabytes of data per second.
