Chase is a wildfire modeler in the FIRIS WIFIRE program. His work involves creating and communicating fire risk models to first responders in the field, enhancing situational awareness, and providing a geographical probability of a fire's progression if it goes unsuppressed. Prior to joining SDSC and continuing today, Chase contributes to wildfire analysis and communications for the Watch Duty app. Providing updates on wildfire activity across the western United States. He is currently an undergraduate student majoring in Business Management/Economics and Fire Technology. He holds certifications in Essentials of Community Risk Reduction, Introduction to Wildland Fire Behavior (S-190), Intermediate Wildland Fire Behavior (S-290) and Introduction to the Incident Command System (ICS-100)
