Modeler
Amanda works as a modeler on the FIRIS program and is a masters student in fire protection engineering and geology at the University of Maryland. Her research focus is using machine learning to predict fire behavior and salt water intrusion. During her undergraduate degree at Arizona State University, she studied volcanic plume dynamics on Earth and Mars.
